On 17 September 2025, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to to Lithuania with residence in Copenhagen, hosted dinner in honour of Mr. Rolandas Valiūnas, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Lithuania, at the Thai Residence in Copenhagen. The dinner was also attended by diplomats from the Royal Thai Embassy.

The occasion provided an opportunity for the Ambassador and Mr. Valiūnas to exchange views on ways to deepen cooperation between Thailand and Lithuania. They highlighted forthcoming initiatives to be carried out jointly by the Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in Vilnius, with a focus on enhancing bilateral ties, trade and investment, technology and innovation, tourism, people-to-people relations and consular service.

With over 20 years of service as Honorary Consul, Mr. Valiūnas has been instrumental in promoting Thai-Lithuanian relations. Through his strong links in politics, business, and wider society, he has helped advance Thailand’s economic and cultural engagement in Lithuania, offered assistance to Thai citizens, and fostered better understanding of Thailand within the Lithuanian public sphere.
