On 19 - 21 September 2025, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Lithuania with residence in Copenhagen, together with officials and staff members of the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen as well as Thai Trade Center in Warsaw and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Stockholm Office as part of Team Thailand, showcased Thai culture at the Fair of Nations (Tautų mugė 2025) held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The Fair of Nations, organized since 2008, celebrates the cultural diversity of national communities living in Lithuania and attracts around 250,000 visitors each year with its exhibitions, cultural performances, activities, and culinary experiences.
In her speech, the Ambassador emphasized Thailand’s cultural richness and underlined the importance of cultural exchange as a means to foster understanding, friendship, and peace. She invited visitors to discover the Thai booth, enjoy the cultural performances, Muay Thai and experience the unique traditions, cuisine, and artistry of Thailand.
The Thai booth featured a lively display of Thailand’s culture and lifestyle, including authentic Thai products, traditional costumes, and a live cooking demonstration with tastings of “Pad Thai”, “Green Curry”, “Som Tum”, and Thai herbal drinks of “Roselle”, “Butterfly Pea Flower with lime”, and “Lemongrass”. The Thai Trade Center corner highlighted Thai innovation and quality products. Visitors were also able to take complimentary souvenir photos with famous attractions in Thailand as backdrops, provided by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Audiences enjoyed a stage line-up of “Muay Thai” demonstrations by Jasiūnas Team, Muay Thai club in Vilnius, along with the “Ram Klong Yao” (Thai long drum dance), and “Ram Wong” (Thai folk dance) performed by the Thai community in Lithuania. These performances reflect Thailand’s artistic and athletic heritage. During the Ram Wong, the Ambassador and Embassy staff warmly invited the audience to join in the dance, teaching simple dance steps and creating a joyful and engaging moment as many visitors, locals, and children participated enthusiastically.
Through its participation in the Fair of Nations 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen successfully promoted Thai culture, strengthened people-to-people connections, and highlighted Thailand as a vibrant destination for tourism, culture, cuisine, and business destination.
