Ambassador of Thailand to Lithuania with residence in Copenhagen meets with Senior Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania on the occasion of presenting the Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Lithuania

On 11 September 2025, on the occasion of her visit to Lithuania to present the Letters of Credence to H.E. Mr. Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Lithuania with residence in Copenhagen, together with Mr. Puwit Wisartsakul, Deputy Head of Mission/Minister Counsellor, visited Lithuania to meet with H.E. Mr. Julius Pranevičius, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania; Ms. Edita Kriščiūnienė, Acting Director-General of the Department of Indo-Pacific; Ambassador Rita Kazragienė, Special Envoy for the Indo-Pacific Strategy; and Ms. Jūratė Lošienė, Director-General of the Protocol Department of Lithuania.
The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and explore cooperation in various areas between Thailand and Lithuania, particularly in terms of trade and investment, innovation, digital technology, cybersecurity, life sciences, education, culture, people-to-people exchanges, and cooperation within the ASEAN framework. This aligns with Lithuania’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, which seeks new markets with countries in the region. Lithuania reaffirmed its commitment to expanding cooperation with Thailand in all dimensions, especially in view of the upcoming 5th Thailand–Lithuania Political Consultations to be held on 23 September 2025.
In addition, the Ambassador expressed her appreciation for the excellent cooperation and facilitation provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, particularly with regard to the arrangements for the presentation of the Letters of Credence. She also conveyed information regarding Thailand’s participation in the Fair of Nations 2025, to be held from 19–21 September 2025, where Thailand will showcase Thai culture through cooking demonstrations, food and beverage tastings, product exhibitions, tourism promotion, as well as Muay Thai demonstrations and traditional Thai dance performances on stage.
