The participants were warmly welcomed by Mr. Jens Nielsen, Mr. Henrik Danshøjgaard and Mr. Christian Hartmann from the Danish Nature Agency whom also demonstrated how to do the reforestation step by step.
This volunteering activity is a contribution to the public benefits by supporting the Danish reforestation project to increase green areas, control the amount of carbon dioxide, reduce global warming, protect groundwater retention, create recreational areas and increase biodiversity. It also aims to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and carry on Her Majesty’s determination to conserve the environment and natural resources. In addition, by volunteering and showing social responsibility in the country where the Thai community lives will also enhance the unity, status and dignity of the Thai community in Denmark. On this occasion, representatives of the Danish Nature Agency expressed their gratitude to the Embassy and the Thai community in which the Royal Thai Embassy is considered the first embassy to do the reforestation activity in this area. In this regard, the Embassy is very thankful to the Thai community who participated in this reforestation volunteering activity which is successfully accomplished.
