On 26 April 2022, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, hosted dinner at the Thai Residence in Copenhagen for Dr. Suphachai Srila, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Education of Thailand and Chairman of the Working Group on Vocational Education Strategy and Policy and his delegation who were on official visit to Denmark to follow up the training program of Thai students from College of Agriculture and Technology in livestock farms in Denmark. The delegation also met with Ms. Cecilie Brøkner, Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education and Children, to discuss ways to further enhance collaboration between the Ministries of Education of the two countries.

On this occasion, Her Excellency the Ambassador also met with the Executives of the UV Medico Company, namely Mr. Peter Johansen, Chairman of UV Medico, Mr. Anders Samuelsen, CEO who was a former Minister of Foreign Affairs (2016 - 2019), Mr. Jens Christian, CEO of UV Medico Thailand and Mr. Lars Christensen, CEO for Sejer Capital Co- funder of Saxo Bank of Denmark to discuss about cooperation on science, technology, and education. The company organised the trip for the delegation of Dr. Suphachai to visit Sygehus Lillebælt Hospital in Kolding which uses UV light for modern medical devices. Her Excellency the Ambassador invited the UV Medico to explore business and investment opportunities in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi) which promotes advanced medical devices manufacture as one of the targeted industries. The EECi is set to hold its official opening ceremony in November this year and is ready to facilitate investors with infrastructures for research and innovation development as well as benefits and incentive packages for investors.
