On 27 September 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen organized mobile consular unit in Aalborg to provide consular services to the Thai community residing there and surrounding areas. Services provided included passport applications, legalisation services, civil and family registration, as well as consultations on various consular issues. A total of 56 people used the services: 27 for passports, 8 for notarial services and civil registration, and 21 for consular consultations.

 

On the same day, the Ambassador met with the Thai community during the opening ceremony of the Thai Kultur Festival 2026, held at the Aalborg Town Square near the mobile consular service venue. The festival which was also attended by Mr. Dennis Charles Hansen, Member of Aalborg Municipal Council, aimed to promote Thai culture and cuisine to the wider audience and featured a variety of activities, including cultural performances, Thai music, Thai classical dance, and stalls selling Thai food and products.

 

In the afternoon, the Ambassador also visited Reden Aalborg and held discussions with Ms. Jeanette Dam Kaastrup, Director of Reden Aalborg, Mrs. Pattinee Frederiksen, Thai cultural employee of Reden Aalborg, which supports women in vulnerable situations and has maintained close cooperation with the Thai community in the area.
