On 20 June 2022, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, Mr. Theerakun Niyom, Ambassador’s spouse and Mr. Jaya Patrachai, Counsellor, participated in the site visit, organised by Embassy of the Philippines, at the Georg Jensen Silversmith factory with the ASEAN Committee in Copenhagen (ACC) in presence of Ambassador of Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam, their spouses as well as diplomats from the respective Embassies of ASEAN member states in Denmark. Mr. Mehul Tank , CEO of Georg Jensen Company, Mr. John Helms, COO, Mr . Ragnar Hjartarson ,Creative Director and Ms. Ida Heiberg Bottiger, Manage of Heritage and Archive, welcomed and led the delegation to visit the manufacturing factory.

The Georg Jensen Company has been known in Europe for over 118 years as a famous silverware manufacturer for decorations, utensils and home decorations embraced with distinctive design and artisanal skills. Georg Jensen Company has established a jewellery factory in Chiang Mai since 1998 as Thailand has skilled craftsman for its production. Currently, there are approximately 600 employees working in the factory.
