Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen participated in the activities of “Diplomats for Equality”

On 19 August 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen participated in the activities of “Diplomats for Equality” organized for the first time in Copenhagen with participation of following embassies: Canada, the United States, Switzerland, Sweden, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Mexico, Slovenia, Israel, Chile. This event was organized in collaboration with the Copenhagen Pride 2023 which is Denmark's biggest annual human rights festival, in order to campaign for equal rights of LGBTI+ as well as anti-discrimination against such groups.

There were approximately 50 people participated in Diplomats for Equality, including ambassadors, diplomats and staffs as well as their families from various embassies in Copenhagen, marching in the parade holding up the Diplomats for Equality banner starting from Frederiksberg Town Hall to the Copenhagen City Hall square. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also attended the event and greeted with the ambassadors and participants in such activities, which attracted a large number of tourists and Danish public.
