On 21 August 2023, H.E. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, hosted a thank you dinner for the Danish volunteers from Rak Thai Association, and representatives from a group of volunteered Thai nurses for their contribution for the success of Thai Festival 2023 @ Copenhagen which were organized on 10 June 2023 at Rådhuspladsen or the Copenhagen City Hall Square. In this occasion, the Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude to the Danish volunteers, are “Friends of Thailand”, for their assistance at the Embassy’s booth during the event, as well as the group of volunteered Thai nurses for providing health services and first aid to participations of the Festival. She also discussed with both groups on possible future collaborations, including another Thai Festival next year, and other voluntary activities which would benefit the Thai and local communities in Denmark.

 

Moreover, the Ambassador took the opportunity to congratulate volunteered Thai nurses on their success of establishing an association named “Thai Nurses In Denmark 2023 (TNIDK 2023)”. TNIDK 2023 has the objectives to provide needed assistances and guidance on Danish language studies, required internship at a public health institute, and the process to obtain a Danish nursing license, to professional Thai nurses who wish to relocate to Denmark and work in the country’s public health system.
