During the seminar, Her Excellency the Ambassador mentioned the diplomatic relationship between Thailand and Denmark which marks 165th anniversary in 2023. Trade and investment is a significant foundation of the relations between the two countries. At present, most of the trade between Thailand and Denmark focus on production of consumer goods. Thai and Danish private sectors are now entering new partnerships in future-concerned fields such as green energy, and environmentally friendly food production and agriculture. This came from the fact that both parties can foresee business opportunities from the Thai BCG economic model and Denmark's expertise in these fields. Denmark is a leader in green economy and the market is highly dynamic with state-of-the-art infrastructure and distribution systems, and a logistic location that makes it an excellent distribution point for the Scandinavian, Northern European, and Baltic markets. The Ambassador stressed that the Danes are interested in products with health benefit and organic which concerns about animal welfare, environment-friendly, and climate. In addition, products exported to Denmark should meet EU regulations in terms of quality, safety, and sustainability. Therefore, products that meet the consumer needs in Denmark should be the product that is friendly to the world according to industrial trends "Future Food" that extends the traditional food production process to meet the needs of reducing global warming while creating a food system that focuses on high nutritional value and sustainability.
