On 23 September 2025, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Lithuania with residence in Copenhagen, together with Mr. Puwit Wisartsakul, Deputy Head of Mission/Minister Counsellor, led Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and her delegation, who had come to participate in the 5th Thailand–Lithuania Political Consultations to meet with Mr. Rolandas Valiūnas, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Lithuania, to discuss ways to further promote bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Lithuania. The delegation also visited the Tartle Museum, one of the largest private art museums in Central Europe, which houses an extensive collection of historical artifacts and was founded by the Honorary Consul.
Mr. Valiunas has served as Honorary Consul to Lithuania for over 20 years, playing a key role in promoting Thai-Lithuanian relations through his extensive network in Lithuanian politics, business, and society. He supports the Embassy’s various economic and cultural activities, provides consular protection for Thai nationals in Lithuania, and helps clarify and foster a correct understanding of various situations in Thailand. Mr. Valiunas is currently the founder and partner of the law firm Ellex Valiunas, and serves as Chairman of the Board of the Investors’ Forum of Lithuania as well as Vice-President of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists.
