The Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen Convenes Team Thailand 2026 Annual Meeting to Advance Cooperation with Denmark and Lithuania

On 29 September 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen convened the Annual Meeting of the Team Thailand Copenhagen Executive Committee for 2026 at the Residence of the Ambassador of Thailand, bringing together representatives of Thai government agencies with responsibilities covering Denmark and Lithuania.
 
The meeting was chaired by H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, and brought together Ms. Baralee Ratnapinda, Minister, Office of Customs Affairs, Brussels; Mr. Songkhla Chulakasian, Minister, Office of Agricultural Affairs, Brussels; Ms. Nitchaporn Varnapruk, Minister Counsellor (Commerce), Office of Commercial Affairs, Copenhagen; Mr. Somkiat Kamolpun, Minister Counsellor (Science and Technology), Office of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Brussels; Mr. Kittiphan Taparugssanagorn, Minister Counsellor (Industry), Office of Industrial Affairs, Vienna; Ms. Methenee Sirisawat, Minister Counsellor (Commerce), Office of Commercial Affairs, Warsaw; Mrs. Sawitree Suwannasang, Minister Counsellor (Investment), Thailand Board of Investment, Stockholm Office; and Mrs. Patsalin Swetarat, Director, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Stockholm, together with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen.
 
The meeting provided an opportunity for Team Thailand to exchange views on political and economic developments in Denmark and Lithuania, as well as to review the results of the agencies’ work this year and discuss their action plans and priorities for Fiscal Year 2027.
 
Discussions covered opportunities to further promote Thailand’s interests and strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas including trade and investment, agriculture, customs, industry, tourism, and higher education, science, research and innovation. The participation of representatives from regional offices in Brussels, Vienna, Warsaw and Stockholm also provided a broader European perspective and helped identify opportunities for closer coordination across markets and sectors.
 
Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening collaboration among Team Thailand agencies in identifying new opportunities, connecting Thai and European stakeholders, and making better use of the respective expertise, networks and regional responsibilities of each agency. The meeting also discussed ways to further advance Thailand’s engagement with Denmark and Lithuania, including through closer cooperation with government counterparts, the private sector, investors, universities and other relevant partners.
 
The meeting reaffirmed Team Thailand Copenhagen’s commitment to coordinated and forward-looking efforts to promote Thailand’s interests and expand opportunities for cooperation with Denmark and Lithuania, while strengthening collaboration among Thai agencies across Europe.
