On 1 January 2025, Mr. Puwit Wisartsakul, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, together with officials, Embassy’s staff and families, attended a ceremony of morning prayers and giving alms and food to the monks together with members of the Thai community. The ceremony was co-organized by the Embassy and Watpa Copenhagen to celebrate “The Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua Attaining the Same Age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I)” and the new year.

In this occasion, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. took the opportunity to reiterate the importance of the upcoming auspicious occasion in which King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua will attain the same age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great, the first king of the Chakri dynasty, on 14 January 2025, and that the Thai Government will hold a ceremony to celebrate this auspicious occasion in Thailand.
