On 27 September 2024, H.E. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, hosted lunch for Professor Nicolas von Solms from the Department of Chemical & Biochemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Associate Professor Mahesha Manjunatha Poojary from the Department of Food Science, University of Copenhagen (UCPH FOOD) to thank for their participation as speakers in Thailand as per the invitation of the Royal Thai Embassy in the projects to promote cooperation in technology and innovation between Thailand and Denmark. On this occasion, the Ambassador discussed with both lecturers about further academic cooperation between the two countries. Both sides were pleased to learn that after the conclusion of the projects, Chiang Mai University has established a network with DTU to develop knowledge in carbon capture and storage. Moreover, Chulalongkorn University has a plan to exchange PhD students to do research at UCPH FOOD on cold plasma in 2025, which will be beneficial to build capacity of university personnels in Thailand.
