On 18 November 2024, Mr. Puwit Wisartsakul, Deputy Head of Mission at Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen welcomed the Industry Committee of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Thailand, led by Mr. Akaradej Wongpitakroj, Chairman of the Committee, and 21 delegates who came to study the green industries in Denmark. On this occasion, Mr. Puwit provided an overview of the relations between Thailand and Denmark, the cooperation between the two countries in various fields, as well as the green transition in Denmark, especially in the industrial sector.
Afterwards, the Royal Thai Embassy arranged for the delegation to visit the headquarters of Ørsted in Gentofte, a company that produces electricity from wind power and heat from renewable energy, and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), a world-class architectural design firm in Copenhagen, where they received a briefing and exchanged views on the design concept for environmentally friendly office buildings and public spaces. Moreover, they went to visit Copenhill, one of the world's most pollution-free waste-to-energy facilities and a prominent symbol of Copenhagen's low-carbon and sustainable city. The delegation also received a briefing at the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) on the development of green industries and the circular economy in Denmark and exchanged views on the development of Thailand's green industrial sector.
