On 21 May 2026, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, together with officials and staff of the Embassy and their family members, organized a merit-making ceremony and alms-offering to monks at Watpa Copenhagen to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Legacy of Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni.

Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni (1904–1984), Queen Consort of King Rama VII, was a pioneering figure in education, sustainable development, and gender equality. She played a visible public role at a time when few women held leadership positions. Fluent in English and French, she traveled widely and engaged in intercultural dialogue, helping to foster mutual understanding across cultures, as well as advancing agricultural innovation and community empowerment. On 25 February 2026, Thailand marked the centenary of Her Majesty becoming Queen Consort. In recognition of her enduring legacy and contributions to humanity, the UNESCO has included the commemoration of the centenary of Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni in its 2026–2027 calendar of anniversaries.
