On 21 November 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Lithuania with residence in Copenhagen, paid a farewell courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Egidijus Meilūnas, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania on the occasion of her completion of duty. The Ambassador expressed her gratitude for Mr. Meilūnas’ strong support to the Embassy’s activities to promote relations between Thailand and Lithuania. The two sides valued their cooperation in the past three years, which has made progress in many areas, especially the success of the 4th Political Consultation between Thailand and Lithuania and the signing of the Agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Lithuania on the Exemption of Visa Requirement for Holders of Diplomatic and Official or Service Passports in Bangkok on 18 June 2024 in Bangkok as well as the events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Lithuania in Vilnius. Both sides also discussed about the progress on bilateral cooperation in innovation, digital economy, medical technology, life sciences, FinTech, cybersecurity, trade, investment, and tourism as well as cooperation in a multilateral framework where both sides continuously support each other.
