On 21 June 2025, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, together with Mr. Teerakarn Savetsila, Consul, and his spouse, participated in an opening ceremony of of Buddhadham Visuddhi Mahamunee Dhama Pavilion at Wat Buddhadham Visuddhi in Brovst. For the ceremony, Phramaha Sajjat Vajiranano, Abbot of the Temple, served as the Chair of the Sangha and was joined by the monks from Buddhist temples in Denmark, Norway and United States of America. The Ambassador, as the Lay Chairperson, lit candles and incense sticks to pay respect to the Trirattana (the Buddha, the Dhamma, the Sangha), joined the prayers, gave offerings to the monks, and participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Later, together with the Thai community, she also offered lunch to the monks.


Before the ceremony started, the Ambassador addressed the participants of the ceremony at the request of the Abbot. She introduced herself to the Thai community, and congratulated the opening of the Dharma Pavilion, which would benefit both Thais and Danes in the area who wanted to study and practice Dharma. Moreover, the Ambassador commended members of the local Thai community for their strength and unity, and underlined their role as representatives of Thailand, who have an importance responsibility of preserving and promoting Thai culture in Denmark.


After all the proceedings finished, the Ambassador took the opportunity to greet and converse with Thai nationals who joined the ceremony.
