On 6 June 2022, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, organized a Dinner Talk at the Thai Residence in Copenhagen by H.E. Mrs. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, a former Ambassador of Thailand to Austria and Germany and a Special Advisor of the Office of Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) of Thailand, who gave updated information about seamless logistics and infrastructure development in the EEC area including the creation of innovation ecosystem within the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi) as well as special business and investment benefits for investors in the EEC. This event was attended by members of the Danish-Thai Business Network (https://www.danthainet.com) who are Danish entrepreneurs interested in doing business and investing in Thailand, representative from Danish-Thai Society, Trade Council representatives and a Thai desk officer from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Eastern Economic Corridor is the special development zone which is the continuation of the development of the Eastern Seaboard area covering 3 provinces in the eastern region, namely Rayong, Chonburi and Chachoengsao. The EEC project aims to enhance competitiveness of the manufacturing and service sectors in Thailand based on modern technology and innovation by focusing on developments in 12 target industries. Its ultimate goal is to promote Thailand to be an innovation hub of the region and important gateway to Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific. For more details, please follow the link https://www.eeco.or.th
