On 24 January 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, and Mr. Theerakun Niyom, her spouse, hosted a Thai dinner in honour of H.E. Ms. Lina Gandløse Hansen, State Secretary for Trade and Global Sustainability, and Mr. Steen Hansen, her spouse, as well as representatives from various sectors of Denmark at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence. The participants included Mr. Jens Holst-Nielsen, Director of Global Market Development, Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), Mr. Søren Falck, Head of Delegations - Exhibitions & Export Promotions, DI, and Ms. Kristine Eck, his spouse, Mr. Niels Peter Nørring, Climate Director, Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC), Mr. Stiig Waever, Co-Founder and CEO, Danish-Thai Business Network (Dan Thai Net), and Ms. Dina Herler, his spouse, Thai Desk Officer, Department of Asia, Latin America and Oceania, and his spouse, together with Ms. Nitchaporn Varnapruk, Director of Thai Trade Center Nordics, and Mr. Puwit Wisartsakul, Deputy Head of Mission/Counsellor, Royal Thai Embassy.

On such occasion, the Ambassador expressed her thanks to the State Secretary for leading the delegation to visit Thailand and for co-chairing the 6th Thai-Danish Political Consultation meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand in Bangkok on 12 October 2023 to discuss ways to pursue bilateral cooperations in various sectors which were agreed upon in the meeting to make concrete progress. H.E. the Ambassador also took this opportunity to thank representatives from DI, DAFC and Dan Thai Net for their contribution in enhancing Thai-Danish relations, especially in the areas of trade, investment, and green transition for sustainability, as well as to exchange views on future cooperation in 2024.
