On March 23, 2022, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, led Mr. Sompong Sanguanbun, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and Dr. Settapan Krachangwong, Minister Counsellor (Higher Education and Science) to the EU, to meet with Mr. Henrik Wiboltt Senior, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing (SVP S&M) and Mr. Tommy Bysted, Senior Vice President of Research and Development (SVP R&D) at the FOSS Company in Hillerød, the world's leading technology and analytics services for the food and agriculture industry, also accompanied by Mr. Jan Laustsen, Director of Trade and Market Relations of the Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC). The delegation was briefed on the company's rapid business growth as a result of its research and development policy, which invests 10% of turnover in R&D innovation. The FOSS Company has grown to become the world's leader in analyzing the composition and quality of food and agricultural products, with offices in many countries around the world, including one in Thailand that oversees markets throughout Southeast Asia. Her Excellency the Ambassador also invited the Company to consider establishing a research and development center in the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), where the facility, infrastructure and innovation ecosystem are all being developed, which could serve as a research base to adapt the technology for local conditions before settle investment and export to regional markets. The EECi will be officially launched in November 2022.
