On 27 June 2017, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen in collaboration with the Embassies of Indonesia and Viet Nam organized the ASEAN Cultural Evening at the Thai Residence to showcase ASEAN cultures through food and cultural performances.  S this year also marks a 50th Anniversary of ASEAN, the event therefore dedicated to this very special occasion. The event was attended by participants including representatives from the Danish Government, foreign diplomats, businessmen, academics and media.  The guests enjoyed a buffet of typical dishes and cultural performances from the ASEAN countries.

As for the cultural shows from Thailand, these were performed by the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Ministry of Culture of Thailand, who are visiting Denmark as part of their tour of the Nordic countries.The performances not only showcased beautiful Thai culture but also the variety of culture of other 10 members of the ASEAN family as well.
