On 8 September 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy, Copenhagen in collaboration with Moesgard Museum, Team Thailand in Copenhagen, the Royal Consulate General in Hvide Sande, Sawasdee Thai-Danish Association, CPF Danmark A/S and the Thai community in Aarhus and Jutlands organised the fourth Thai Festival in Aarhus, which is the second largest city of Denmark.

The Thai Festival 2013 in Aarhus featured the Buddhist merit making ceremony, stalls selling various Thai dishes and products, Thai traditional massage, the demonstration of fruit carvings, Thai boxing and traditional games, kid’s corner as well as Thai classical dance and Thai contemporary music performance by Thai community in Aarhus and Jutlands’ area. In addition, the Royal Thai Embassy, Copenhagen also held mobile consular service to facilitate Thai citizens in Aarhus and nearby cities on consular related matters.

There was also a prize draw of two air roundtrip tickets (Copenhagen-Bangkok), sponsored by the Office of Thai Airways International in Copenhagen, for the lucky winners who participated in the embassy’s questionnaire.

This year’s Thai Festival 2013 in Aarhus attracted over 3,000 participants, both Danish and Thai citizens living in Aarhus and nearby areas. This event once again helped promoted Thai unique culture and tradition to the Danish public as well as provided an opportunity for the Thais residing in Jutlands area to gather together and take part in meaningful activity which will help strengthen the Thai community living abroad.
