The Royal Thai Embassy, Copenhagen in cooperation with the Aalborg City, Team Thailand in Copenhagen, the Royal Thai Consulate in Hvide Sande, Thai-Nord Association and the Thai community in Aalborg and Jutland organized “Thai Festival 2013” at C.W. Obel Plads in Aalborg from 30-31 August 2013. Aalborg is the fourth largest city of Denmark, next to Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense respectively. This Thai Festival is a part of the “Aalborg in Red Festival” which is an Aalborg’s annual cultural event.

The Thai Festival in Aalborg, the first Thai cultural event to be held in this city, was a great success. It attracted lots of participants. This event featured Thai dishes and Thai products, Thai massage, Thai contemporary music performance by Khun Gee Onchoi’s Band, a parade displaying various Thai culture and more importantly, Thai classical performance by the Office of Performing Arts, Fine Arts Department, Ministry of Culture of Thailand. This performance was a main attraction of the Thai Festival in Aalborg as it greatly impressed the audiences. This festival helped promoted Thai unique culture and tradition to the Danish public in much wider scale.
