On 22 June 2013, The Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with the Office of Tourism Authority of Thailand in Stockholm, the Office of Thai Airways International in Copenhagen and the Thai-Icelandic Association organized the Thai Festival 2013 at the City Hall in Rekjavik, Iceland. It is the first time that the three organizations held such an event.This festival aimed to promote Thai culture and tradition, particularly Thai cuisine in Iceland. This event featured Thai food stalls, various cultural performances by Thai community in Iceland such as Long Drum Parade, demonstration of Thai desserts and fruits carving, Thai massage, name card written in Thai language, kids’ corner and much more. Each activity gained much interest by participants which consisted of both Thais and Icelandic people
