On Tuesday, 4,483 dancers in Thailand hula hooped their way into the record books and swung their hips for seven straight minutes. The event was part of a government campaign to create health awareness.

Guinness World Record judge Seyda Subasi-Gemici confirmed that 4,483 people swung hula hoops around their hips for seven uninterrupted minutes. The feat beat the 2011 record set by Taiwan in which 2,496 people danced with hula hoops for two continuous minutes.
