On Saturday 3 June 2023, from 11.00 - 16.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen participated in the organisation of the “1st Diplomatic Bazaar” at Gentofte Radhus. Mr. Michael Fenger, the Mayor of Gentofte, and Ms. Charlotte Slente, the Secretary-General of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) attended the opening ceremony. On this occasion, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, and Mr. Theerakun Niyom, her spouse, welcomed Mr. Michael Fenger during his visit to the Thai booth.
At the event, there were booths of Embassies from 25 countries, selling local products and food, as well as providing national cultural performances of each country and prizes awarded to winners from the tambola. At the Thai booth, there were Thai handicrafts products and Pad Thai for sale, the distribution of Thai tourism brochure, the display of VDO clip about Thailand and the show of 3 sets of Thai traditional performances on stage from the Rak Thai Association, which attracted great attention from approximately 1,000 participants. Net proceeds from the event were donated to the DRC.
The 1st Diplomatic Bazaar was initiated by the Ambassadors' Spouse Group (ASG) in Copenhagen and concluded with a great success.
