WHO CAN APPLY FOR E-VISA WITH THE ROYAL THAI EMBASSY, COPENHAGEN?

Residents of Denmark and Lithuania who currently residing in these countries may apply for e-visa with the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen through https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ . Proof of residency are required.

Those currently residing in other countries should contact the Royal Thai Embassy in their respective countries.

Nationals of Denmark and Lithuania who are currently traveling in Thailand cannot apply for e-visa with the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen through https://www.thaievisa.go.th/. They must contact the Thai Immigration Bureau for visa matters.

Nationals of Denmark and Lithuania who are currently traveling in other countries and wish to travel to Thailand cannot apply for e-visa with the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen. They may either enter Thailand under 60-day visa exemption scheme or contact the Royal Thai Embassy in the countries they are traveling in if they wish to stay in Thailand for longer than the visa exemption scheme allowed. If they wish to apply with the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, those nationals of Denmark and Lithuania must first return to their respective countries, i.e. Denmark and Lithuania, before applying.

Please note: that Tourist Visa Exemption does not apply to foreigners holding Danish Alien’s Passport (Grey) and Danish Travel Document (Blue). Holders of these mentioned passport/document may have to applying for a visa to Thailand (even if the person have a permanent residence permit in Denmark).

1. For Danish and Lithuanian Passport holder 

Danish and Lithuanian passport holders are allowed to enter and stay in Thailand up to 60 days without a visa for purposes as follows.

1. Tourism
2. Necessary or urgent work
3. Ad-hoc work

• Organizing or setting up conferences, trainings, seminars, exhibitions, or trade fairs
• Conducting special academic lectures.
• Aviation superintendent
• Occasional internet audit
• Follow-up and resolve technical issue
• Quality control of products/goods or products/ goods quality inspection
• Inspection or improvement of production process
• Machinery and electric generator equipment system inspection or maintenance
• Machinery maintainance and installation
• Electric train technician
• Aircraft or aircraft equipment system technician
• Consultation work on machinery maintenance or machinery control system
• Machinery demonstration and testing
• Movie filming and slide photographing
• Recruitment of job seeker for overseas job placement
• Technical skill testing for overseas job placement

**For other business purposes other than mentioned above, Its is highly recommended to apply for an appropriate visa. 

The passport holders will be allowed to enter Thailand and stay up to 60 days only 2 times per year. If your stay will be longer than the mentioned period, then you need to apply for a visa. 

2. For Danish Alien’s Passport (Grey) and Danish Travel Document (Blue) Passport holder (dansk flygtninge- eller fremmedpas)   

Applicants who are originally nationals of countries with additional requirements and currently holding Danish Alien’s Passport and Danish travel documents need to submit the visa application at least four-six weeks in advance as well.  Holders of Danish travel documents and Danish alien passports must apply for a visa regardless of how many days the applicant will stay in the Kingdom.

Remarks: when applying for a visa please select 'Travel Document for Refugee and stateless person' NOT 'Ordinary passport'

3. Foreigners entering Thailand under the Visa Exemption scheme must show the documents listed below at the port of entry: 

• Foreigners entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption category must possess adequate finances for the duration of stay in Thailand (i.e., cash 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family).
• Foreigners entering Thailand for Necessary/Urgent Work or Ad-hoc Work,  must prepared relevant documents demonstrating their purpose of visit.
• Proof of onward travel (confirmed air, train, bus or boat tickets) to leave Thailand within 60 days of the arrival date (**otherwise a tourist/non-immigrant visa must be obtained to enter Thailand).

4. For Applicants  listed in the countries with additional requirements

Applicants listed in the countries with additional requirements namely; Afghanistan, Algeria, Central African Republic Bangladesh China, Republic of Cameroon, Central Africa, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Republic of Ghana, Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Republic of Guinea, India, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Lebanon, Libya, Republic of Liberia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Federal Republic of Somalia, Republic of Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe and Yemen are requested to submit the visa applications at least four-six weeks prior to the travel date. 

5. For Minor

In case the applicant is a minor, both parents need to sign on the child’s application as consent. In case of single parent, a supporting document of child’s full custody is required.
