18 June, 2024 was a historic day for LGBTQIAN+ rights in Thailand when the Senate voted overwhelmingly to approve the Equal Marriage Bill paving the way for greater equality and a recognition of LGBTQIAN+ rights. It is the collective effort of all stakeholders which reiterates the power of “unity in diversity” of the Thai society. “We will continue our fight for social rights for all people regardless of their status. We are proud to be a Pride Friendly Destination and look forward to bringing World Pride to Thailand in 2030”, said the Thai Prime Minister.
