On Saturday 29 July 2023, Mr. Teerakarn Savetsila, Consul, and his spouse, attended Asarnha Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent Day ceremony at Wat Pa Lolland which was presided over by Phra Khru Phinetsasanakhun, Abbot of Watpa Copenhagen. The Consul and his spouse, as well as members of the local Thai community, participated in the prayers, made merits by offering alms and foods to the monks, casted Buddhist Lent candles, partake in the candlelight procession, and joined Thod Phapa ceremony to offer ropes as well as donations to the monks and the temple.

In this occasion, the Consul took the opportunity to greet the participants of the ceremony and praised the strong commitment and togetherness of the local Thai community, as well as the important role of Watpa as the center of the community. He also invited all participants to present their best wishes to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on His Majesty’s birthday, 28 July 2023.
