The Band of the Royal Danish Life Guards also played the “Royal Guards March”, which is the composition of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and “Marsch Siamese” composed in 1890 by Mr. Hans Niel Hass, the Band Master of the Royal Danish Life Guards at the time, in honor of General Chaophraya Wongsanuprapat (Mom Rajawongse Satarn Snidvongs), Grandfather of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who were undergoing military training in Denmark at that time. The Marsch Siamese therefore symbolizes the special and close relations between Thailand and Denmark and the royal families of the two countries. Besides that, the Band also performed royal compositions of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great to the guests at the Reception.
.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, presented the Commemorative Medal on the Occasion of the 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great to members of the Bands with a certificate in recognition of its role in fostering closer ties between the two countries. The Band members decorated the commemorative medals on their uniforms to honor His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great during their performance.
.
The Royal Thai Embassy would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Band of the Royal Danish Life Guards for performing at the Thai National Day Reception, which is also a symbol for the celebration of the 400th Anniversary of Thai-Danish relations this year.
