Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen welcomed a Thai dance troupe from the College of Dramatic Arts, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Thailand, on a mission to promote Thai performing arts in Copenhagen

On Tuesday 14 June 2022, Mr. Puwit Wisartsakul, Counsellor/Deputy Chief of Mission, as a representative of the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, welcomed a Thai dance troupe from the College of Dramatic Arts, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Thailand, on a mission to promote Thai performing arts in Copenhagen, after finishing performance in Norway and Germany. The trip to Denmark was arranged by Mrs. Wanida Samittiwiwat or “Kru Nu”, President of Rak Thai Forening, Denmark, and Mrs. Laddawal Sripirom, or “Kru Toy” President of Thai Dance and Music Club in Norway. The performances included Hanuman Catching Nang Suphan Matcha, Ram Tari Kipas, and fire baton wielding, for example, were performed at the City Hall Square of Copenhagen in which Mr. Jakob Næsager, Mayor of Children and Youth, City of Copenhagen, and Mrs. Heidi Wang, Member of Copenhagen City Council, welcomed the troupe and attended the show. In addition, the troupe also performed Brahmin Chui Chai Dance at the Asia House’s courtyard to pay homage to the King Rama V statue.
