Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen invited medical technology experts from Lithuania to visit Thailand

The Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen organized a project to invite Ms. Jekaterina Kalinienė, Head of Life Sciences Lab, Innovation Agency Lithuania and Mr. Antanas Montvila, Chief Innovation Officer, Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kaunas Clinics, to visit Thailand and give a presentation on “The role of government in advancing innovation: developing a vision for digital health” and “Future is Now: AI, wearables and virtual hospitals” respectively at Bio Asia Pacific 2024 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) on 12 September 2024. They also met with Ms. Paiyada Hanchaisuksakul, Deputy CEO of Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS), and Ms. Taweeporn Gedarram, TCELS Program Director, Pharmaceuticals and Regenerative Medicine, to create a network of cooperation and exchange best practices in life sciences as well as direction for the development of technology and medical device industry between Thailand and Lithuania.
In addition, on 13 September 2024, the Embassy also arranged for the Lithuanian experts to meet with Dr. Kanyarat Kuysuwan, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Medical Hub Industry Promotions, Ministry of Public Health, to exchange experiences in pursuing medical hub policy and comprehensive healthcare industry. Each country has policy aimed at becoming medical tourism hub in Asia and the Baltics, respectively. Therefore, it is beneficial for both sides to have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences on the development in this area between each other.
