On 17 September 2022, Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen organized mobile consular services in Aalborg. Around 110 Thai nationals received the services including passport service, registry service, and legalization service. The activity was the fourth of its kind in 2022 after the first three which were organized in Greenland in May, in Skaebaek in July, and in Aarhus in August, respectively.
In this occasion, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, met with Ms. Jeanette Dam Kaastrup, Director of Reden Alborg, and Mrs. Pattinee Frederikse, Thai Cultural Officer of the organization. The Ambassador expressed thanks to the organization for offering its facility for the mobile consular services. Additionally, she also demonstrated appreciations for the role of Reden Aalborg in providing assistances to foreign women who experienced social hardship through myriad of services, including social and legal advice, counseling, free women health clinic, and social gathering space. The Embassy was ready to support and cooperate with the organization to strengthen the livelihood of Thai women in Denmark through shared activities and projects in the future.
Furthermore, on the same day, the Ambassador and Mr. Theerakun Niyom, her spouse, together with Embassy officials and their families, also visited two Thai temples namely Wat Dan Thai in Aalborg and Wat Buddhadhamasamakkee in Brovst. The Ambassador and the representatives from the Embassy paid their respect to Phramaha Papat Wongwan, Acting Abbot of Wat Dan Thai, and Phra Pornsit Prompimai, Acting Abbot of Wat Buddhadhamasamakkee, respectively. They also offered food and alms to the monks. In addition, the Ambassador used this opportunity to greet and discuss on their well-beings with the Thai communities who were presented at the temples and shared a meal with them.
