Rayal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen participated in the Kathin robe offering ceremony and organized voluntary activities at Wat Thai Denmark Brahmavihara

On 26 October 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, together with officers, spouses and Embassy staffs participated in the Kathin robe offering ceremony, as well as offered food and alms to 5 monks, at Wat Thai Denmark Brahmavihara. In this occasion, the Ambassador gave a speech to the members of the Thai community in attendance. She reiterated the importance of the ceremony and commended the Thai community for supporting the temple and those who organized an almshouse which provided food for all participants. The Ambassador also encouraged Thai communities to follow the Broadcast of the Royal Barge Procession for the Royal Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony in Celebration of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary along the Chao Phraya River, concluding at Wat Arun Ratchawararam on 27 October 2024.  

After the ceremony was concluded, the Ambassador, officials and staff of the Embassy, as well as their spouses, conducted voluntary activities to pay tribute on the occasion of King Bhumibol Adulyadej Memorial Day on 13 October 2024, and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day on 23 October 2024, by cleaning the statue of King Chulalongkorn, Buddha statues and areas around the temple.
