On 19 October 2024, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, together with her spouse, and staff of the Embassy, participated in the Kathin robe offering ceremony of Wat Thai Terndrup at Terndrup – Hallen Sport Center, in the city of Terndrup. The ceremony was led by Phra Palad Samart Thamumtharo, Abbot of Wat Thai Terndrup, and the Ambassador served as the Lay Chairperson. In this occasion, the Ambassador addressed around 100 members of the Thai communities who joined the ceremony. She cherished the opportunity to again visit Thais in Jutland and commended their combined effort in strengthening Buddhism in Denmark and preserving the tradition of Kathin robe offering. Moreover, the Ambassador also encouraged Thai communities to follow the Broadcast of the Royal Barge Procession for the Royal Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony in Celebration of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary along the Chao Phraya River, concluding at Wat Arun Ratchawararam on 27 October 2024.
During the aforementioned trip to Jutland, the Ambassador also took the opportunity to visit Thai temples in the area, which were The Natural Forest Monastery in Randers, and Wat Dan Thai in Aalborg, as well as met with the surrounding Thai communities including the Thai Heritage-Aarhus Group in Aarhus and earlier the Sawasdee Thai Dansk Forening in Odense.
