On 19 May 2025, Her Excellency Mrs. Suphanavasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, welcomed a delegation of the 19th “Public-Private Partnerships for Executives Program” (PEP19), organized by the Institute of Research and Development for Public Enterprises Foundation (IRDP) during their study visit in Denmark from 19 to 21 May 2025 with the objective of exchanging knowledge and experiences on the implementation of projects under Denmark’s public-private partnership (PPP) framework. On this occasion, the Ambassador hosted a dinner for the delegation together with diplomats of the Embassy at the Thai Residence.

The Royal Thai Embassy arranged a study visit for the delegation on 19 May 2025 to the Copenhill which is a pollution-free energy-from-waste factory with innovation and modern technology, making the wastewater treatment system and energy production process that have no impact on the environment. The project is also a popular recreational destination as well as a landmark of Copenhagen's low-carbon and sustainable urbanism reflecting the PPP concept that generates value for society in various dimensions.

Additionally, on 21 May 2025, the Embassy organized a study visit to the State of Green, a non-profit, public-private partnership tasked with branding Denmark as a green nation and marketing Danish business and industry as front-runners when it comes to solutions and competences within energy, climate and the environment.

On the same day, the Thai delegation also visited Ørestad Innovation City Copenhagen (ØICC). Ms. Sophie Bruun, Director of ØICC, welcomed the delegation and gave a presentation on smart city development through PPP mechanisms, particularly in the planning and development of infrastructure and public spaces in the Ørestad district. This pilot project showcases the active role of the private sector from planning and design to investment and sustainable management of the smart city.
