On 2 December 2022, H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark welcomed Dr. Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai, Director-General of the Department of Health, and his delegation at the Ambassador’s Residence. They traveled to Denmark to study technological advancement and innovation in reproductive health in Denmark to find ways to develop policies for the treatment of infertility to increase the birth rate in Thailand.
The delegation visited a number of venues in Copenhagen, including: 1) The European Sperm Bank, one of the largest sources of sperm donation in the world, providing services to those who need sperms either individually or to clinics. 2) The Rigshospitalet Hospital which is the best public hospital in Denmark in which its Fertility Department is responsible for maintaining, practicing physicians, researching, and educating the public on reproductive health knowledge. 3) The Aleris Hospital, a leading private hospital which opened an infertility unit since September 2019. 4) The Vitanova Private Fertility Clinic, a private infertility clinic integrated with UK’s clinical network with most patients from abroad, and 5) Cooper Surgical Company which is a leader in IVF and reproductive genetics and is planning to open an office in Thailand.
On this occasion, Her Excellency the Ambassador and spouse also hosted a dinner for the delegation.
