On Saturday 2 November 2024, Her Excellency Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, presided over the Offering Ceremony for the Royal Kathin Robes at Watpa Copenhagen. The ceremony was headed by Phrabrahmavajiravimol, Assistant Abbot of Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, and the Royal Kathin Robes was donned by Phravithetvajirakitti, Abbot of Watpa Copenhagen. Officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, their spouses as well as around 300 members of the Thai community in Denmark also attended the ceremony.

In this occasion, the Ambassador met and gave a speech to the Thai Community. She was glad to meet many Thais in attendance and praised their contributions on preserving Buddhist tradition. The Ambassador reiterated the importance of the Royal Barge Procession for the Royal Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony in Celebration of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary along the Chao Phraya River, concluding at Wat Arun Ratchawararam on 27 October 2024. The Procession demonstrated a majestic 400-year-old Thai tradition and underlined the close connection between Buddhism and the monarchy. She also encouraged members of the Thai community to dedicate the merit made to commemorate His Majesty the King.

Additionally, the Ambassador took the opportunity to provide an annual donation to Phravithetvajirakitti to support the activities of the temple. The Embassy also provide consular services to the Thai community who were presented at the temple.
