On 18 January 2024, Ambassador Sirilak Niyom attended the annual New Year reception for the diplomatic corps organized by the Greenland Representative Office in Copenhagen. H.E. Mr. Múte Bourup Egede, Prime Minister of Greenland, also came to deliver a speech at the event. On this occasion, the Ambassador also extended her best wishes for the New Year to the Prime Minister on behalf of the Thai community in Greenland.
Greenland is the world’s largest island situated in the North Pole. It is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark. Currently, there are approximately 200 Thai people living there, most of whom work as restaurant owners, spa business owners, shopkeepers, chefs, and hotel employees.
