On 2 February 2022 at 12.10 hrs., Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to Lithuania with residence in Denmark, discussed via online platform with Mr. Mantas Adomėnas, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. Both sides reiterated the cordial relations between Thailand and Lithuania that have been going on for almost three decades and 2023 will mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Both sides also discussed ways to promote trade and investment by taking advantage of the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economic model and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in Thailand, together with the Green Corridor Bill of Lithuania, as well as cooperation in digital, Life Science and tourism.
