Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to Denmark, together with Mr. Theerakun Niyom, her spouse, and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, visited Moesgaard Museum in Aarhus. The Ambassador and her delegation were welcomed by Mr. Mads Kähler Host, the Museum’s Director, Mr. Peter Hambro Mikkelsen, the Museum’s Deputy Director, and Associate Professor Mikael Gravers, who gave an introduction of the Moesgaard Museum and a tour of the Thai House, an old Thai style wooden house from Ayutthaya Province, which is the only foreign piece of architecture on the grounds of Moesgaard Museum and represents the long-standing close and cordial relations between Thailand and Denmark.

During the visit, the Ambassador exchanged ideas with the Museum’s Director on possible cooperation to organize activities to further strengthen the people-to-people relations between Thailand and Denmark, on the occasion of the 400th Anniversary of the First Contact between Thailand and Denmark in 2021.
