On 20 August 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen in collaboration with Embassies of Indonesia, Philippines and Viet Nam organized the “ASEAN Garden Party” at the Thai Residence.

The event was attended by approximately 170 participants included representatives from the Danish Government as well as foreign diplomats, businessmen, academics and media personnel. The activity was part of the joint work plan of ASEAN embassies to raise profile of ASEAN and promote awareness of ASEAN Community through variety of activities.

Famous Thai dishes namely Tom Kha Gai (Chicken in Galangal Coconut Soup), Pad Thai (Stir-fried noodles with Shrimps in Tamarind sauce) and Krapao Nua (Stir-fried beef with basil and chili) were prepared by the cook of the Thai Residence. The Thai Embassy also offered fruits from Thailand such as mangosteen, rambutan, mango and jackfruit for the guests.

The participants were kept entertained by music from Southeast Asia and lucky draws with chances to win special gifts from the Embassies.
