On 19 May 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen organized a Thai cooking demonstration for a group of  lady Ambassadors together with spouses of Ambassadors accredited to Denmark at the Thai Ambassador’s residence with the Ambassador’s chef as the instructor.

The chef demonstrated cooking methods of famous Thai dishes such as Tom Kha Gai (Chicken and Galangal in Coconut Milk Soup), Pad Kraphrow Moo (Stir-fried Pork with Holy Basil) and Pad Thai Goong Sod (Thai Fried Noodles with Shrimps). In addition, Thai fruits imported directly from Thailand, namely, Mangosteen, Longan, Rambutan and Mango were also presented to the guests.

The guests also had a chance to taste all of the dishes presented that day. A variety of Thai ingredients and food products which are available at Thai supermarkets and Asian shops around Copenhagen were also on display. The guests were also introduced to the Thai art of fruits and vegetables carving by a live demonstrator.
