On 25 October 2013 at 14.00 hrs, Miss Vimon Kidchob, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark delivered an opening remarks at Sustainability Conference organized by University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC)  at the Asia House, Copenhagen.  Danish professionals and press as well as other interested guests were invited to join this seminar.  It is a forum where experts can exchange ideas and share experiences on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR) related issues.  The seminar focused on two specific projects; One rai one san and Doi Tung,  carried out in Thailand under the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy initiated by His Majesty the King of Thailand and now recognized worldwide.  Speakers at the seminar comprised of 1) Mr. Kulvech Janvatanavit : Sufficiency Economy; Thai Widsom towards Sustainable Development 2) Lotte Isager : The Global Relevance of Thailand’s Sufficiency Economy and 3) Helle Munk Ravnborg: Sufficiency, Sovereignty and Sustainability, Meeting Needs, Ensuring Rights and Tempering Greed in a Globalized World.

The conference was a great success and well received by the Danish professionals.  It provides a good opportunity for Thai and Danish experts to exchange their knowledge and experiences on sustainable development related matters which might be beneficial for the future cooperation between Thailand and Denmark on this subject.
