Thailand has been ranked the ‘Most Favorite Country” at the Reader’s Travel Awards held by Indian edition of the Conde Nast Traveller Magazine. At the same time, the Euromonitor International 100 Top City Destinations Ranking (2013 edition) recently released 100 of the world’s leading cities in terms of international tourist arrivals. Bangkok ranked third and Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai ranked 15,17 and 70 respectively. The reports notes that Thailand is well positioned to benefit from the strong growth of both Chinese and Russian traveler. In 2012, Chinese tourist arrivals in Thailand increased by 62 %, making China the largest source of tourists.
