The Thai Silk Festival 2013 is being held from 10am to midnight at the Chalerm Phrakiat Park in Pak Thong Chai district, Nakhon Ratchasima, with the aim to support local knowledge and promote the use of Thai silk in the global community.

Under the concept of Weaving and Spinning into Textile Patterns, the festival includes exhibitions on Jim Thompson silk, the history of Thai silk by the Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture, and the peacock trademark that guarantees good quality Thai silk. The sale of silk fabrics and products by more than 60 shops, the sale of One Tambon One Product (Otop) goods by 40 sellers and the provision of advice on industrial investment will also be part of the festival.
