Thailand now ranks ninth among the world’s automotive manufacturers and comes first in ASEAN. According to the Ministry of Industry, Thailand produced 2.4 million vehicle units in 2012 and it is expected that Thailand will be able to produce 3.4 million vehicle units in 2017. With this number, Thailand will rank fifth. The world’s Top 3 auto manufacturers today are China, followed by USA and Japan.
