Mercer global consulting company has released its survey of 211 cities which ranks the cost of living for an expat worker. The survey covers comparative costs of more than 200 items, including among others food, shelter, entertainment and transport.

With a 2014 ranking of 88, Bangkok is far from being among the most expensive cities, and in fact its ranking has dropped 22 places since the previous survey.

It is clear that Thailand continues to offer investors not only a terrific location for their business and manufacturing operations, but that it does so within an affordable low cost environment.
