On 9 September 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen in collaboration with the Embassy of Indonesia and the Embassy of Viet Nam organized the ASEAN Day Reception at the Asia House in Copenhagen. This year, Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, the former Secretary-General of ASEAN, gave a special talk titled ”Towards the ASEAN Community: Prospects and Challenges”.  Attended guests include representatives from the diplomatic corps, Danish government officials, businessmen, academics and media personnel. Mrs. Lone Dencker Wisborg, State Secretary for Foreign Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark was a representative from Danish Government to deliver a remarks. In addition,Dr. Surin Pitsuwan also had meetings with Mr. Martin Bille Hermann, State secretary for Development Policy and Mr. Erik Laursen, Head of Department of Asia, Oceania and Latin America, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
